Company History

Teresa Pangan founded Web noxious in May 2004. For the previous seven years, Teresa had developed web sites through a partnership, Puttin’ on the Web. While with Puttin' on the Web, Teresa was involved in the development of over 25 web sites.

The members of the Web noxious team are honored to get up every day and work on web sites. The work is fun, challenging and fascinating. Since Web noxious does no advertising with the exception of the web site, the majority of new clients hear about the company from current clients. We are thankful that our clients are very happy with our work and share their satisfaction with others.

Owner Teresa Pangan, PhD, RD

Teresa Pangan's professional training is in dietetics. She has a doctorate in nutrition and is a Registered Dietitian. People often wonder how, with this training, Teresa has come to run a web-site–development company.

During her doctoral studies, Teresa discovered her passion for the Internet. It grew through courses, a practicum focusing on promoting Helm Publishing's web site (a publisher of nutrition books and education courses), and two studies involving the Internet for her dissertation work:

Study Investigating Dietitian Business Web Sites: Development, Promotion and Profitability (Published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association April 2001; Dietitian business Web sites: A survey of their profitability and how you can make yours profitable)
Computer-Assisted Instruction Modules on 3 Internet Skills for Dietitians and Dietetic Students

Because of her involvement with the Internet, in 1998 she was asked to develop a website for registered dietitian Diana Dyer, MS, RD. She agreed and has since continued to develop and renovate websites for RD’s, health professionals and businesses.

In addition to her Internet work, she has taken online courses and attended numerous workshops on web design, development, and promotion. She subscribes to Internet publications to keep abreast of the field’s trends and utilizes the most current software in her projects.

Additional Professional Accomplishments

Due to Teresa's involvement and innovations with the Internet, she frequently speaks on Internet topics for regional and national meetings. Topics range from “Standards for Evaluating Web Sites,” to “Getting Started Developing and Promoting Your Own Website,” to “Writing for a Web Audience.”

In 1998, Teresa was awarded the prestigious Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year award from the Texas Dietetic Association.
